1, The mechanical parts of tire gantry crane:

Do the maintenance and repair to the RTG matching motor, reducer and electric hoist according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Fill up the calcium-base grease to the hoisting and traveling mechanisms, fixed and movable pulleys once a month, replace the lubricant in the reducer every three years. Check the brake on the electric block once a week and do the test for each lifting operation to guarantee the reliability. The sprocket chain of the traveling mechanism should be cleaned frequently to prevent the sand and dust falling into the folder to damage the sprocket and other parts.

2, The maintenance of the steel rope and pulleys

Check that if there are the slack strand phenomena of the steel rope, replace it timely and the maintenance must strictly follow the GB/T14406-93 <<The general-purpose Gantry Crane>> standards. Frequently check that if the pulleys are normal, deal with the abnormal noise problem timely. Regularly inspect the connection condition of all the parts, tighten the loosen ones and check the pins and cotter pins, also process them timely.

3, The maintenance of the steel structure

The structural parts of the gantry crane should be strictly checked before using, if the cracks and deformation of the welding seams, materials were found, identify the reasons and contact the manufacturer timely. Repair it as the repairing program provided by the factory before being used. Fix the rods with the severe deformation, otherwise not allow to put into use.

Paint all the metal structure once a year. Remove the oil, water and appendages of the surface which will affect the painting before painting the masonry.

4, The maintenance of the electronic control systemtire container crane

The operators should check carefully the electrical components whether they are normal on a regular basis. For example: check the accuracy of the trip through the test button on the air switch; check whether the contactor is good contact, no wear and tear; check that if the over-current relay, middle relay and other components are good contact; the limit switch is connected properly and so on. Immediately eliminate them once these problems are found. After each using, the operator should turn off the main power supply, turn off the electrical control cabinet door to avoid the rain water intrusion and resulting in the electrical shock or damage the electrical control system.

5, The transportation and storage of the RTG

The ambient temperature of the RTG in the process of the transportation and storage should be the -25～+55℃. Also take measures to prevent moisture, vibration and shocking to damage the equipment.

6, The routine inspection items

A, The daily routine checks and inspections before each starting

Check the connecting bolts of the cross-beam, columns, connect beam and other steel structural parts. Inspect the electrical hoist, spreader, lifting points, steel rope, rope clip and other parts. Examine the sprocket chain of the traveling mechanism to ensure that the crane can move safely. Check the electrical control cabinet, connecting cable, limit switches, alarming device, brakes and other parts.

B, The maintenance items weekly

Clean and fill up the lubrication parts of the transmission mechanism.

Do a comprehensive inspection on the welding seams of all the structural parts and force components, ensure that there are no cracks existed.

Make sure that there are no abnormal noise and other abnormalities on the running generator, electrical hoist and motors.
