The safety protection device of gantry crane is a kind of facility which aims to protect the safely operation of equipment. In the operation process, once the abnormal condition, a series of failures even the dangerous circumstances happen, the signal of the alarming and instruction can appear in order that they can be dealt with promptly or shut down automatically to prevent the accidents and damage to the crane which may affect the production and threat the personnel safety. Therefore, it’s necessary to design and equip with the appropriate safety protection device.

1, The lifting limit position limiter

While switching on the lifting mechanism, the spreader can operate within the hoisted height scope.

2, The operating limit position limiter

When the crane or trolley has operated approaching to the limit position, stop working to ensure that the crane can work in the designed working area.

3, The adjustment device

When the traveling mechanism of the gantry crane is operating, because of the different running resistance on both sides, the wheel slipping, the wheel diameter difference, the efficiency of the transmission system, the tiny slipping difference of the drive motors on both ends of the transmission system, the installation misalignment of the traveling mechanism, the traveling speed of the support legs is not synchronized. This condition will cause structural parts damage and lead to gnawing rail. More seriously it will damage the traveling mechanism and constitute the hidden danger of construction accidents. The adjustment device will avoid or reduce the probability of the accident happening.

4, The buffergantry crane

Absorbing the kinetic energy generated by the collision between the crane and the end plate or the other crane.

5, The anti-climbing and wind-resist device

These devices mainly include clip-rail device, anchoring device and iron shoes.

5.1, The clip-rail device

The crane can not slip by gripping the track through the jaw which can achieve the purpose of wind resistance. To make the wind-resist purpose of the clip-track device reliable, ensure that the jaw owns enough clamping force.

5.2 The wind-resist iron shoes

The control mode is divided into manual control and electric control.

5.3 The anchoring device

The anchoring device includes the chain and bolt plate.

6, The limiter for lifting capacity

It can prevent the gantry crane overloading operation. If the crane is in the status of overloading, it has the ability to make the crane travel along the safely direction, meanwhile send the audible and visual alarming signal.

7, The speed switch

Limit the maximum speed of the motor. Disconnect the circuit quickly and achieve the safety operation.
