Classify and Application of Gantry Crane
 
ZZHZ gantry cranes are widely used in all kinds of construction projects, which are famous in domestic and overseas. In this article I will show you how to classify gantry cranes.
 
A. Types of Main Beam
 
1. Single girder gantry crane
 
simple structure, convenient installation, light weight, box girder, single girder gantry crane is always in less rigid comparing to double girder. Single girder gantry cranes are usually in L and C type. As for L type, it is in easy manufacture and installation, good load-carrying capacity and light weight. 
 


 
Double girder gantry crane is in huge lifting capacity, large span, good stability and various kinds. However, comparing with single  girder gantry crane with the same lifting capacity, double girder gantry crane is expensive than single one. According to types of main girder, double girder gantry crane can be divided into box girder and truss girder and box girder is familiar.
 
B. Structures of Main Beam
 
1. Truss girder gantry crane
 


 
Welded by angle iron and joist steel, the truss girder gantry crane is in low price, light self-weight and strong wind resistance. However, truss girder are in low rigid and low reliablity, in addition, it needs to test welding spots frequently. Truss girder is suit for construction site with small lifting capacity.

2. Box girder gantry crane

Honeycomb girder gantry crane is in isosceles traingle structure, welded by honeycomb steel plate and traingle steel. Comparing with truss and box type, honeycomb girder gantry crane is in larger contact surface, uniform stress and strong tension. Honeycomb girder gantry crane is one of ZZHZ patents.
 
C. Application
 
1. General gantry crane / Rail gantry crane
 
Rail type gantry crane mainly adopts honeycomb, box and truss stucture and in wide application.
 
2. hydropower station gantry crane
 
Not only the kind of gantry crane can lift, turn on and off the strobe, but also it can used for installing work. Although hydropower gantry crane is not in high working frequency, however, as long as it is operated, it is in heavy duty. Thus, it is important to improve the working class.
 


 
Gantry crane for ship building is used for assembling ship body for shipyard. Gantry crane for ship building is always equipped with two lifting trolleys. One trolley has two main hooks traveling on the track of upper flange, the other with one main hook and one auxiliary hook, traveling on the lower track to overturn and lift huge ship segments.
 
4. Container gantry crane
 
Container gantry crane is used for lifting containers on the yards. Container gantry cranes can be divided into tyre container gantry crane and rail mounted container gantry crane.
