ZZHZ Guidance on Gantry Crane Installation
 
ZZHZ gantry crane is widely used in outdoor working site. As heavy duty lifting equipment, correct installation steps are important for reducing accidents.

 

 
Installation steps of gantry crane are as following:
 
1.Mark main girder, outriggers and roller box. After checking, assembly main longitudinal beam with crane, install sidewalk platform and prepare for the next assembly.

2.Assembly roller box of crane moving system on the track, alignment by make a diagonal, by make use of the other outrigger of the crane to assembly with roller box. Connected with pins, adjust, tension and fix with steel wire rope and chain block on the anchor. Adopt the same method to assembly the other side to keep outriggers on both sides vertical to the ground to promise right installation dimension.

3. Two truck cranes lift both ends of main beam on one side slowly, then put it on the outriggers, adjust it to keep alignment. Fix and tension connection plates below main beam and joist of the outriggers, then install main beam on the other side. Note: It is prohibited that truck crane can not hook off if the main girder is not fixed.

4. Truck crane lift connection frame and connect with bolts.

5. Truck crane lift the trolley on the its track, adjust and keep wheel tread of trolley and surface of track contacted.

6. Truck crane lift driver’s cab, ladder, walkway, platform and handrail on their right position.

7. Install electrical utility, pave electrical circuit, dismantle mooring rope and anchor. After all is in order, test run. During testing run, keep daily record according to the requirement of QC department.
