Installation Steps about Gantry Crane

          

Classified into goliath hoisting machine, gantry crane is widely used for outdoor engineering project. In order to decrease the accidents from gantry crane during installation, operators must finish it according to the correct steps. Below are as your reference:

1. Cooperating with another crane, you need to assemble the main girder, support legs and roller box according to the marks on the ground. After inspection, the first step is to fit main girder. Use a crane to lift the main girder to a right place in order and install walking platform. Then prepare for the next step.

2. Assemble roller box of the crane on the track. After fixed by pulling a wire to fine the diagonal, assemble the roller box with the other support leg of the crane. Then connect them with pins, adjust steel wire and chain block and fix on the ground anchor. Assemble the other side in the same way, so that both sides of support legs can be perpendicular to the ground to ensure the installation size of main girder.

3. Use two truck cranes to lift both ends of one main girder slowly and put it on the support legs, then adjust it to find a right place. Fix the connection plates under the main girder and joist on the support legs with pins. After that, install the other side main girder. Notice: If the main girder is not fixed firmly, you can not slack the crane and put down the hook.

4. Operate one truck crane to lift the frame and connect it with bolts.

5. Use one truck crane to lift the trolley and then install it on the pathway, adjust it to make sure wheel thread of trolley connects with surface of track.

6. Use one truck crane to lift the accessories to a specified position, including operating room, half-space, walking platform, handrail, and etc.

7. Install electric utility, pave the electric circuit, and remove rigging and ground anchor. If everything is ready, have a testing run and make a record according to the lifting sheet established by quality control department.
