How to test the gantry crane?
(1) Make a thorough check to the installed gantry crane to find if there are any parts missing or wrong, if the wirings are firm and the grounding is available.
(2) Turn on the power to test electric leakage and the conformity of grounding.
(3) Press down the travel push button of the gantry by flashes to check if the travel direction of the gantry is uniform. Then make it travel forward and backward for several times to check the stability of travel and the quality of installation of the rails.
(4) Make a traversing test and hoisting and lowering test of the trolley and electric chain jack in the same way as in (3).
(5) After that, start the heavy loading test. First, do the test with nominated weight. Shut down the crane when the load is lifted up by 5cm and check if has any abnormal situations. Then lift and lower the load repeatedly to check the reliability of brakes. Finally, do the test to the loaded trolley for latitudinal movement, checking the reliability of the brakes in the same way as in (3).
(6) Overloading test. After finishing all the above tests, increase the load by 10% to see if any abnormal conditions in static state.
(7) Do the same tests to the electric chain jack according to (5) and (6).
(8) After finishing the above tests, test the gantry with nominated load for latitudinal movement. It is required that the test should cover the full length. Pay attention to check the reliability of the brakes and if it is difficult to move. Clear out the problems if any.
Caution: If any problems are found difficult to solve, please contact with the manufacturer.
