Tips on How to Maintain a Winch
As we all know, winch is one of the most important parts for gantry crane and overhead crane. In order to operate the cranes safely and increase their working life, it is necessary for us to realize enough knowledge about how to maintain the winch. Below are some tips about it.
1. Replenish oil.
To check oil window of reduction box regularly is sensible. When lubricating oil level is under rated scope, it is right to replenish oil in time.
2. Change oil.
a. If the gantry crane or overhead crane is not used frequently, lubrication oil in reduction box should be changed for each half year. On the contrary, it is suitable to change oil for each quarter.
b. In such situation you need to change oil immediately,
(1) Reduction gearbox is water entered.
(2) Oil is out of date or it has gone bad. Under such circumstances, there is foam floating on the oil level all the time.
c. Change right oil according to stated instruction. To mix all kinds of oil products together is forbidden.2. Change oil.

c. Antifriction bearing of fixed pulley and movable block should be refueled grease each month.
d.Each joint bar of the break must be added lube each week.
