Safety Appliances for Gantry Crane
In order to make sure the safety operation, gantry crane has a sophisticated safety device. When unexpected, the safety operated devices can remind operators of noticing the dangerous situation or emergency.
1. Overflow valve for hydraulic system.
It can restrain abnormal high voltage in the loop, prevent hydraulic oil pump and motor in damage and over capacity.
2. Luffing safety device for hanger arm.
When emergency occurs, heavy-duty hose or pipeline in the loop of oil cylinder of hanger arm may be explosive or cutting-off, the balance valve will be contributing. It will lock the working oil at the bottom of fuel cylinder to keep hanger arm not fall, so that the safety is affirmative.
3. Flexible safety device for hanger arm.
It is the same with luffing safety device. When emergency occurs on flexible safety device, the balance valve will lock working oil and hold hanger arm to promise safety.
4. Height limit device.
After rising to a rated height, the load hook of gantry crane will touch limit hammer and open switch the indicator light. Then operation of hook rising, hanger arm extending and falling will cut off to ensure safety. As long as gantry crane operators control the hook to complete hook falling, hanger arm extending or raising. After that, restrain to height limit device will be relieved and it will get right.
5. Landing leg locking device.
Should heavy-duty dose or tube go into bursting or cutting, which leads to landing legs and vertical to oil cylinder, bidirectional lock in hydraulic system will blockade the oil and keep landing legs still and make sure the safety of hoisting operation.
6. Lifting capacity viewer.
Lifting capacity viewer is always installed in the rear of operation, which can indicate elevation of hanger arms and its corresponding rated lifting capacity exactly.
7. Lifting property list.
Installed on the down wallboard of the front of control cabin, the table lists rated hoisting weight and height under all kinds of hanger arms and working scope, so that we can look up when operating. Stated value can’t be exceeded.
