The gantry crane belongs to the large-scale and heavy-duty hoisting machinery with the expensive cost. In order to operate the gantry crane effectively, it’s necessary to do the regular care and maintenance. In the process of caring and maintenance, the following requirements should be paid more attention:
1, The steel rope shall not be used as the grounding cable while welding.
2, Do not modify the performance characteristics of the mechanical and electrical components.
3, Do not modify, reconfigure the safety device or tampering with them.
4, Any temporary modification must be in line with the provisions of the instructions.
5, Replace the damaged or defective parts with the recommended ones by the manufacturers or the original ones.
6, Not allow the non-authorized or unqualified personnel to do the maintenance.
7, Do not make any modification to the equipment before receiving the manufacturer’s written consent.
8, The power system must be cut off and the switch should be twisted to the off position before doing the maintenance.
9, All the mechanical and electrical components must be checked regularly and carried out the regular maintenance to see if there is corrosion, oil spills and any other defect.
10, Do not add the oil or grease on the running equipment, any repair or adjustment on the running devices is also forbidden.
