Before we drive the gantry crane, we need to have a test run, it is necessary due to its importance to ensure production safety and personal safety.
1. Make a comprehensive examination on mounted gantry crane for lifting girders, check whether there is a right installation.
2. Check whether electrical connection is right and whether the limit switch is sensitive and reliable
3. Check whether physical construction parts have phenomenon of clamping stagnation
4. Check lubrication condition of rotating parts
5. Check whether steel ropes are worn and whether the group of ropes are normal.
6. Plug in power supply, check whether the leakage of electricity exists; connect alarms, warning bells and lightning lights in different positions several times to ensure a normal work.
7. Press the button controlling the crane travelling mechanism to check whether crane walking directions are consistent; then control the machine to walk along the rail to positive and negative directions several times, check whether the crane moves smoothly, whether braking is balanced and whether the rail laying is qualified.
8. Two lifting trolleys moves and lifts with empty load, check whether all control institutions are reliable
9. Test with heavy load. Firstly it is test lifting with rated load, watch whether the whole machine works well when the object is lifted 5cm high above the ground; then repeat to lift the object several times to check whether braking is reliable.
10. Trolley and crane moving test. Lift rated object 100cm high above the ground and moves longitudinally all the distance, check whether braking is reliable and whether the crane is under control.
