Winch is a kind of lifting device to lift and move heavy objects by steel wire rope through power driven wind drum. With simple structure and convenient operation, it can lift and move objects very flexibly by working with pulley block. Winch is divided into manpower and power according to driving type.

1.       Generally tractive force of winch is considered as 80%-90% of its own, which ensures safe construction as well as lengthens life span of winch.

2.       Cycles of steel wire rope on the drum shall be 4-6, rope rear end shall be pulled tightly as dragging in the working to avoid severe wear caused by sliding on the drum.

3.       As stopping working, rope rear end shall be fixed on the other firm objects and fix the push rod by iron rod to avoid hurting people by push rod rotating caused by reaction force of lead cable.

4.       Winch shall be fixed smoothly and steadily in the working, align the centre line of wind drum and guide pulley.

5.       Conduct a trial run before winch works, check whether it is fixed firmly, whether brake, guide pulley, rigging and others are safe and reliable, normal operation can be done after all work well.

6.       Operators shall be in safe and convenient work clothes; keep a proper distance with rotating wind drum and running steel wire rope, or it may cause an accident.

7.       It is strictly forbidden to wind steel wire rope on the pulley as the winch works, and touch steel wire rope with hand near to wind drum shall be strictly forbidden.

8.       It is not allowable to move across the running steel wire rope.

9.       Steel wire rope on the wind drum shall be in alignment, 5 cycles at least shall be kept.
