What’re the general requirements of overhead crane?
Operators have to read the instruction manual of overhead crane carefully, especially parts referring to safety protection
It is strictly prohibited to use lifting device wrongly, lack of proper maintenance of equipment, maintain the equipment
improperly, for those improper actions will pose a danger to workers and equipment.
a. Environmental conditions
Overhead crane is not allowed to be used in the bad weather such as heavy wind, mist and rain, ice and snow and other conditions
Operation of equipment shall be prohibited as wind force > 6 grade, some measures shall be taken to ensure equipment stability
as wind force > 11 grade
Construction at night shall follow safety rules, provide proper illumination in the working area and passageway to better visibility
and safe construction；
Keep equipment moving path smooth and without obstacles.
b. Operator requirement
Operators must receive professional training and get special equipment work license；
Operator must be familiar with basic principle and demands of equipment and lifting work, be familiar with demands in operation
method and instruction manual, be familiar with command signal, have strong safety awareness and responsibility；
All workers with unstable physical and mental condition is not allowed to operate the gantry crane；
Operators and all involved workers shall not operate the equipment without proper work clothes.
