What’re the difference between the winch and hoist of gantry crane?
The foundation of electric winch and hoist of gantry crane is almost same, but there are some difference as following:
1. the winch must be fixed, but the electric hoist can travel from left to right.
2. lifting height: the electric hoist’s lifting height is 6m,12m and 18 m etc, but adding the steel rope is not convenient because of the drum’s replacement and volume. And the steel rope of winch is 50m-100m.
3. traveling speed: as usual, the steel rope hoist’s speed is 8m/min,but the winch’s slow speed is 10m/min.
4. winch volume is big but the electric hoist’s volume is small.
5. the electric hoist is lifting device from up to down, but the electric winch can drag, winch, lift and pull.
6. the winch is only fixed at one place to lift goods vertically, but the electric hoist is not only fixed at a place but also can be installed on the cantilever or matched with traveling structure.
7. the electric hoist is small volume , light self-weight, simple operating, tighten structure, high efficiency, reliable brake and simple maintenance.
